BOCA JUNIORS HOME 2003/2004 LONG SLEEVE

The Pepsi sponsor is iconic for Boca Juniors because of this jersey! In this year also Boca Juniors showed the world they weren´t to mess around with, they won every tournament they played getting to be the best in America and a few months later, the best in the world after winning a war against an A.C. Milan full of stars!

This were two memorable years for Boca Juniors, they won everything a South American team would aspire to in 2003. They formed with stars like Abbondanzieri, Schiavi, Burdisso, Ibarra, Battaglia, Tevez. This year they won the Copa Libertadores against Santos for 5-1, after passing over America de  Cali in the semifinals for 6-0. After such an amazing tournament, Boca Juniors played and won the Intercontinental Cup of that year against the powerful A.C. Milan. This was one of the lasts South American teams that won the “World Cup” of clubs against one of the biggest European teams in history of soccer. This year the italian team formed with players like Dida, Cafu, Pirlo, Gatusso, Maldini, Seedorf, Schevchenko, Tomasson, Kaka. Next year Boca managed to get into the Libertadores final after two unforgettable games against their eternal rival River Plate, where Carlitos Tevez scored and did the unfamous celebration of “La Gallinita”. Unfortunatelly Boca Juniors lost that year Copa Libertadores final against Once Caldas of Colombia in penalty kicks.
